St. Baldrick's 2012
This year Summit and Delta Learning Center will celebrate their 4th year participating in St. Baldricks Day. St. Baldricks is an organization that raises money and awareness for kid’s cancer research. Summit and Delta raised more money “per-student” then any other school in Chicago, and this year set their at $10,000 to raise more money “per-student” than any other school in the U.S.. This year we have already double the number of volunteers than last year, and this year’s event will be held March 23rd, 2012. The students and staff look forward to teaming up to end kids cancer. Conkey Woods Cleanup
Staff members Kevin Clough, Rob Soucek & Eric Henington took a small group of students to Conkey Woods located at 135th and Central in Crestwood on Thursday October 13th. The rain held off just long enough for the first cleanup of the 2011/2012 school year to finish successfully. Click here to read entire article.
